HEAD COOK: Elizabeth Trumpold

COMPETITION: Bacon World Championship

Kelly Trumpold (my husband) and I own a catering company called Lake Superior Catering in Duluth MN. We are very passionate about our food. If there is something not on our menu for catering that you're looking for we can make it happen. Watching our clients enjoy our food and make their day perfect for them is why we do what we do. I'm a 18year licensed cosmetologist, that found my love for cooking and baking when I married my husband. After owning a restaurant for 9years, we closed it 8years ago to focus on catering and I got lots of hands on learning. We are both self taught chefs with lots of passion for what we do. He is mostly the chef and I'm the baker, we go together like cupcakes and frosting. I have competed with my husband and by myself in many different food competitions form home town burger cook offs, chili competitions, international pizza competition, and learning from each one. This will be my 10th year competing at the world food championships, after placing in the top ten three years in a row and taking second place in top ten Bacon 3years ago, I couldn't be more excited to see if I can bring home the $10,000 this year. From the experience of the competition, to the friends that have become like family, I have enjoyed every minute. As a mother of three boys Zane, Wyatt and Quintin, are my drive to show that with a little work they can achieve anything they put there minds too.
