COMPETITOR

Father Tom's Pub/ Team Cookeville

HEAD COOK: Steven Ford

COMPETITION: World Invitational Steak Championship - SCA

I have worked as a chef over the past decade in and around Middle Tennessee. Mostly working in Nashville and in the past 5 years Cookeville. At the start of my career I was fortunate enough to work with Dinner Lab of Nashville. Where I was able to work with different extremely talented chefs every week, helping to prepare and serve amazing multi-course meals in different pop up venues. What an amazing way to pick up skill and diversity! Within that time I have also worked a portion of my career as an ER Counselor, and in research for non-profit programs that benefit kids in state custody in Tennessee. My Passion for food has allowed me to work for some culinary greats and even have a brief touch with some celebrity chefs. I care deeply about food, community, and how the two mingle and strive to make my career one that is impactful in some way. I currently run a small pub in Middle Tennessee and have the opportunity to cook amazing food, and work toward an environmentally responsible restaurant model. I also get to play, as we have a Chef's Table dinner once every 3 months. These events are typically between 6-8 courses and center around a theme that I meticulously comb over for months before I even start ordering or preparing products.
