HEAD COOK: Stevie Watford
COMPETITION: World Seafood Championship
Stevie Watford was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. His life and passion has been riding horses and barrel racing. Stevie has always been interested in food and entertaining people from a young age. He is known throughout Mobile as the informal "Mayor of Mobile", given his friendly attitude and giving heart to causes big and small. He opened his first restaurant, Downtowners, in downtown Mobile, Alabama in 2002. From there he opened a restaurant/bar called Bacchus. He sold Downtowners and Bacchus, and opened Stevie's Kitchen. He has been at Stevie's Kitchen since 2012 and is about to open Stevie's Midtown Restaurant at the old Whistle Stop location located in Midtown Mobile, Alabama, which will be a full service restaurant open 7 days a week. Stevie is also about to open Stevie's Gumbo Bar (his signature dish that always sells out) in downtown Mobile, AL, the heart and home of Mardi Gras. He is currently in works to sell his famous gumbo to restaurants nationwide. He is an experienced chef and restaurateur of 20+ years. He loves all animals and has 4 pups that are his babies. He likes to compete in food competitions, and enjoys meeting so many wonderful people along the way.
