My love for baking started out as a family affair. While growing up I had a lot of time with my grandmothers who were avid bakers and cooks for that matter. I decided to take the love of what I enjoyed doing and turn it into a career. I attended The Art Institute of Houston where I received my AAS in baking and pastry. After college, I worked in smaller bakeries and eventually made my way into a resort hotel where I have been the pastry chef for 7 years now. My favorite things to bake are cookies, but I love cake and eclairs and chocolate pastry cream among other delicious desserts.
