HEAD COOK: Amanda Cusey
COMPETITION: Bacon World Championship
Chef Amanda Cusey has been curiously exploring the culinary world since she was a child. She received Cordon Bleu training at the Tante Marie Culinary Academy in Surrey England. Her international training continued under Michelin Star Chef Oliver Dunne in Dublin’s City Center as the Head Chef at his pop-up restaurant, Eatily. Chef Cusey was crowned the Louisiana Seafood Queen in June 2022 for her pan-seared red drum over a tomato polenta with a crawfish cream sauce. She is only the second woman to hold the title since the competition began. She also recently was awarded title of Best Chef in the People's Choice awards. At the Terrace Restaurant, Chef Cusey uses her international training to masterfully blend her Italian flair with local flavors and fresh herbs, creating a one-of-a-kind dining experience for restaurant guests. She also has a special love for four-legged family members, which is why the Terrace patio is pet friendly. She's created a special Buddy's Brew for them to be able to enjoy the patio along with their humans.
