Hello, I’m Chef Brooke Silk. My culinary journey has taken me from the kitchens of esteemed hatted restaurants to mastering the craft of artisan pastries. Today, I lead my own venture, Dine In, creating bespoke private dining and catering experiences that bring the finesse of fine dining into homes across Australia. Through my blog, Capture the Chef, I share recipes, techniques, and the stories behind my dishes—built on a foundation of seasonal ingredients, modern presentation, and a deep respect for classic technique. In 2023 and 2024, I earned back-to-back victories at the Sydney Golden Ticket competitions, which led me to represent Australia at the World Food Championships—and in 2024, I proudly placed third in the world in the dessert category. Now, in 2025, I’m returning to the World Dessert Championship with a renewed vision, a deeper connection to my roots, and a dessert that tells a story—balancing nostalgia, precision, and bold flavour. For me, food is more than flavour—it’s connection, creativity, and craft. I’m honoured to represent Australia once again on the world stage.
