My name is Matt Hanson. I am 32 years old. I am a food enthusiast, amateur chef, and attorney at law. I practice criminal defense and immigration law. While I have competed in several dessert type contests and small food contests, the qualifying event for the WFC was my first major BBQ competition. In fact, I created my team just before the qualifying competition. My team name is Crooked Pigs, fitting for a criminal defense attorney. My brother and my fiance are my teammates. MY brother is a classically trained chef. Together we have a huge passion for bbq, and we are definitely the dark horse team in this competition. While we are inexperienced in bbq competitions, we have culinary skills that will rival the best teams. We beat several well-known bbq teams to qualify and we are ready to win this competition.
