Team Compart is the combination of Bootyque and Sweet Swine O' Mine. Since both teams are sponsored by Compart Duroc and we compete together on the Memphis BBQ Network Circuit, we decided to form one team name. We received a Golden Ticket in Yazoo City, MS. Patrick Banks the pit master of Bootyque and Mark Lambert of Sweet Swine O Mine are both accomplished world class BBQ cooks. Banks is an alumnus of barbecuelive.com competition cooking school hosted by Lambert, Malcolm and Waylon Reed in Southaven, MS. While Sweet Swine O Mine has competed for years at Memphis In May and on the KCBS and Memphis BBQ Network Circuits, Bootyque is a new comer to the competition BBQ scene. Banks and his wife Kathy burst onto the scene as an unknown in 2014 winning their first contest of the year in Daphne, AL. Banks also joined the team of Auto B' Grillin to compete at Memphis in May 2014 winning the 2014 MIM World Rib Championship. Some said the 2014 MIM rib title was a fluke until a 2nd place rib finish at MIM 2015 proved otherwise. A Sam's Club finalist and placing at The American Royal were also accomplished by Bootyque in 2014. Sweet Swine O Mine, needs no introduction as a 4 time pork shoulder winner at Memphis in May and the overall Memphis in May World BBQ Champion in 2009 and 2013. Sweet Swine O Mine was also the 2nd place shoulder at MIM 2015. Sweet Swine O Mine also has a line of rubs and sauces available nationwide with a pork injection coming to market soon. The understudy Banks and Lambert have similar cooking styles. However, Lambert refers to Banks as the mad scientist since he not only lives on the edge but pushes it with the complex recipes he uses. Wow, is the word Banks wants to hear the judges say when sampling his product! Competition BBQ is often one bite, you have to make the most of it! A flavor explosion is what we try to accomplish every weekend!
