Rebecka Evans is an award winning home cook and food blogger, and an avid food and nature photographer. Rebecka currently lives in Danville, California. She has five children and the proud "Gamma" to four beautiful grand-girls, and one stunning grand baby boy. Rebecka began entering food competition at the age of twenty five and began her food blogging journey over six years ago. Years of commitment to the art of recipe creation and food competition has recently paid off with a very big win. Rebecka will be competing in the 2015 World Food Championship, held in Kissimmee, FL November 5-10. She is sponsored by Just A Pinch, for her winning recipe, Dutch Apple Baby with Blackberry Hoisin Bacon. Rebecka not only won her category in the WFC qualifying contest with Just A Pinch, she was also the First Runner-Up in the Penobscot McCrum, Tater Talent recipe competition, with her Sweet & Savory Clam-Bake Apricot Jezebel Twice Baked Potatoes. This home cook and food blogger is counting her blessings for winning 2 Golden Tickets to the most prestigious culinary competition in the World. RESULTS: Rebecka made Top Ten in the Bacon category her first year competing at the World Food Championships 2015, placing 4th in the World! Rebecka's was also chosen by WFC to attend the First Annual 2015 World Food Championships Blogger Summit, set for Nov. 2-4, 2015, Food Fight Write! RESULTS: Rebecka won 1ST Place in the First Annual Saucy Mama Cooking competition with her Sante Fe Filet with Poblano Ranch Pan Sauce, Roasted Corn Skewers and Corn Fried Green Tomato Chips. In conjunction with food blogging, Rebecka teaches interactive cooking classes for private events, and was recently featured as a guest speaker at the San Fransisco Flower and Garden show 2015, "MAKING HEIRLOOM JAMS WITH GARDEN PETALS." She is also in the process of publishing her first cookbook, showcasing some of her favorite edible canned petals, jams, jellies, salsa and pickle recipes. Rebecka is a trained classical vocalist and loves singing opera. She has performed in numerous professional productions in her lifetime.
