Coleen was interested in cooking at a small age. Learning from anyone and everyone around her, as a self-taught cook she is constantly in the kitchen. She has been honing her culinary skills over the last 10 years by catering small private events. Coleen is a mom of 2 boys and cooks three (or more) meals daily. Coming up with new and exciting food to keep the kids and husband interested! She especially enjoys preparing flavorful cuisine that teases the senses and palate, as well as appealing to the eye. Coleen has worked side-by-side with Big Papa (Dana Hillis) in his kitchens learning culinary techniques and perfecting recipes for over 4 years. She gives Dana the credit for pushing her to consider competitive cooking. She once was heard saying “Papa you are lucky I don’t cook BBQ or you would start taking 2nd at all these competition”
