I am from the Southside of Chicago and moved to Iowa about 8 years ago. When I moved to Waterloo, Iowa, I started to get more interested in cooking and started cooking more at home. I have three amazing children, a 2 month old, a 5 year old, and a 9 year old. I also have a wonderful beautiful girlfriend, who is my partner helping me with this competition. They have always motivated me with my cooking. They are my inspiration and help me to develop new ideas. I started to grow my own herbs and vegetables, which expanded to me selling and cooking food at a local farmer’s market. This year I entered my first competition and won. I am currently going to school for hospitality management. I also have just started a burger bar catering company that I do on the side. I hope to expand my catering to something bigger and better in the future.
