HEAD COOK: Dan Navarro
COMPETITION: World Seafood Championship
Chef Dan Navarro lives in Daphne Alabama, and was raised in Woodburn Indiana. Chef Dan is currently the Hospitality and Tourism and Culinary Arts instructor for the South Baldwin Center for Technology. This is a program that teaches 10th,11th,and 12th grade students from Roberstdale, Fairhope, Foley, and the Virtual High Schools in Southern Baldwin County Alabama. Chef Dan has been teaching at the high school level for 5 years, and taught for 4 years at the college level prior to that. Dan has been in the food service industry most of his life off and on. He served in the United States Marine Corps, and worked as a Firefighter and medic all while acquiring an AAS in Culinary Arts and Hospitality, a BS in Hospitality Management and a MS in Hospitality Management From the University of Alabama. Chef Dan is a WFC rookie, But has been working at the event in different capacities for the last 2 years, and plans on being apart of the event for many years to come.
