Laura is a self-taught home cook who, through the grace of God, has racked up awards in recipe development, food styling, photography, print journalism, and as an author, too. "I am an old-fashioned, Great Lakes Region/Midwest home cook through and through! I just love good food that can love you back, because when you make what you eat better, it makes YOU feel better, too!" Learning to cope with the loss of her father and a muscle disease she inherited from him, Laura 'boils' her work with food down to being a mindful mission to develop and help others to find, "Food that makes YOU feel good!" Using food to make a positive difference in the lives of others is what "fuels" her recipe developments, and why she loves food sport, like the WFC, and is happy to promote it whenever possible. "We are all connected through food, and we all share a common desire to enjoy it at its very best. I love this opportunity to push myself to elevate my creations to new levels, and am just thrilled to be a part of the WFC (with my sisters in tow) once again. God bless the WFC!"
