More Ways To Qualify For WFC During Social Isolation

The leader in Food Sport, World Food Championships (WFC), produces online recipe qualifiers, such as its Taste of America and Taste of Canada challenges annually and typically earlier in the year. These contests award more than 300 Golden Tickets, which qualify WFC hopefuls to compete at the Ultimate Food Fight in Dallas, Texas. But this year, due to the effects of COVID-19 forcing many to cook from home, WFC has decided to create additional online qualifying opportunities for anyone looking for something to do this month.

As of April 6th, WFC kicked off a Meatless Monday contest where chefs and home cooks around the world can post any meatless dish to their public Instagram page for a chance at a Golden Ticket. Any Instagram post using the hashtag #WFCMeatlessChallenge will be entered into the contest portal, where judges will select the most deserving submission. The winner will be announced on April 24 and will receive a waived entry fee to compete at WFC this November.

This meatless social media contest will be open for the next two Mondays (April 13 and 20). WFC encourages any aspiring competitors to start thinking about meatless recipes that can dazzle the judges. Click here for the official contest rules.

This weekend, April 10-12, WFC will host another online qualifier called the “What’s For Dinner” Challenge. In this contest, contestants will simply submit any dinner recipe they’ve made through the official contest link. Rules for the “What’s For Dinner” Challenge are available here. The winner of this online contest will be announced April 25 on WFC’s official Facebook Page

Last, but definitely not least, WFC also announced it had created a third online qualifier called the “5-Ingredient” Challenge. This self-explanatory contest runs from April 21-23 and will challenge foodies from across the world to create a recipe using only five ingredients or less. Those interested to get a head start on this contest can check out the official rules, here. Starting April 21, foodies may submit their entry through the contest link, here. The winner will be announced April 26 on WFC’s official Facebook Page
