The World Food Championships announces Challenge Butter as the Official Butter of the 2013 Event

The World Food Championships announced today Challenge Butter as the Official Butter of the 2013 World Food Championships. Challenge Butter, a leading supermarket brand with a 100-year history of selling quality butter products, will be provided to the 300 plus competitors who are traveling from around the globe to battle in the $300,000 cooking competition. The 2013 World Food Championships will take place at the Fremont Street Experience and Fremont East District in Downtown Las Vegas, Nov. 7-10.

Only in Las Vegas can food, fame and fortune be combined into one jackpot event. The second annual World Food Championships brings champions from some of the biggest and best food competitions around the world to Las Vegas for one ultimate defining moment. Following a tournament-style format across seven iconic food categories:  BBQ, chili, burger, sandwich, recipe, dessert and bacon; competitors will battle for their chance to claim the World Food Champion title.

“Butter is a staple to nearly every dish that will be created at the World Food Championships,” said Mike McCloud, president and CEO of Trybe Targeting, producers of the World Food Championships. “It’s only natural for a us to pair with a premium dairy partner like Challenge Butter, to help some of the world’s best cooks and chefs create their amazing recipes.”

“We couldn’t be more proud for Challenge to be the Official Butter of the World Food Championships,” said Tim Anderson, SVP of Retail and Foodservice for Challenge Butter. “The quality of our butter is of the upmost importance to us and we are excited for the competitors and judges to taste the real difference Challenge makes in a dish.”
