Take A Bite of the World Food Championships at Tasting Village

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (October 10, 2016) – Foodies are in for a real treat at the World Food Championships this year, as they now have a world-class, low-cost opportunity to sink their teeth into WFC like never before.

From local to global brands, the WFC Tasting Village will include a lineup of 20 incredible brands that are involved in Food Sport or the WFC Food Fest. Some of the featured products in Tasting Village include cheese from Cabot Creamery, Hawaiian Venison Sausage, Penotti Cookie Butter, Rum Cakes, Gourmet Salts and Vinegars from the Philippines, and Wickles Pickles.

“We can’t wait to unveil Tasting Village this year. The experience will be truly unique, offering rare and favorite flavors from around the globe,” said Mike McCloud, CEO of World Food Championships. “While we seek to crown a World Food Champion, this is one way that every foodie can “win” their way through our event. The admission is only $5 and it will be a culinary delight for the entire family.”

Tasting Village — which will be open daily on Friday, Nov 11 through Sunday, Nov 1 — will also boast flavors of the South thanks to Eat Y’all, including Mississippi Blue Rice Brand, Southern Peanut Growers, and Sugar Taylor Sauce.

But Tasting Village will offer much more than just sweet and savory samples. Each day, attendees will also have the opportunity to win an Orion Cooler worth over $400.

Orion Coolers is a brand of luxury coolers featuring 2+ inches of insulation, reinforced corners, multiple anchor points, integrated bottle openers and mounting tracks for a host of accessories like bottle and gadget holders, GoPro mounts, knife holders and a new UtiliTop that serves as a removable, adjustable minibar and workstation.

Orion will be supplying WFC competitors with an Orion 45 at all 50 cook stations this November, and now, WFC consumers could be lucky enough to take home one of the most luxurious coolers on the market.
