CBD-Infused Company Spices Up the World Food Championships’ Main Event

The World Food Championships (WFC) announced earlier this year that it will be incorporating a CBD element into the 8th annual competition for its Dallas debut in October. The Ultimate Food Fight revealed today that Kind Spice, a CBD-infused seasoning company based in California, has signed on as the Official CBD sponsor to help make the infusion process easy for all the contestants in the recipe category.

Kind Spice specializes in pre-mixed CBD-infused seasonings and sauces. It has a broad line of CBD-infused products, which can be sourced on its official web site at this link. As for the tournament, Kind Spice will be working with WFC to make competitor choices of its infused White Flour, Cane Sugar, Salt & Pepper available on-site.

Leading up to WFC’s Main Event in October, Kind Spice will be providing Food Champs with “How-To” videos that cover tips and important techniques on how to cook with CBD.

“I grew up in an Italian family that loves to cook, so I understand first-hand how food is a source of love,” said Keith Hyatt, Chief Scientific Officer of Kind Spice. “Adding CBD to your favorite recipes only enhances the experience for your loved ones since CBD has so many health benefits. We can’t wait to see what creative recipes these champs come up with using our products.”

Kind Spice was founded by Hyatt and Jay Timms eight years ago. The company’s unique process ensures that you get fully infused products and not just CBD added to spices. In addition, Kind Spice tests all its products to make sure they meet FDA regulations as well as for accuracy and potency. The extensive product line ranges from CBD-infused sugar and spices to sauces and flour. Kind Spice’s unique microlayer infusion process helps to make the dosing of CDB easy to incorporate into your daily lifestyle. All Kind Spice products are THC-Free and contain only 100 percent Legal Hemp CBD.

When asked what he wanted Food Champs to take away from using Kind Spice products, Keith shared his goal for the company’s WFC involvement.

“We hope the Food Champs grasp a better understanding of how easy and fun it is to incorporate CBD into their favorite recipes using our products. Our goal is to show them how to take their dishes to the next level by educating them on how incorporating this natural ingredient into their recipes can help their loved ones feel better.”

CBD-infused edibles have been around for years. As claimed by many hemp experts, hemp-derived CBD is a non-intoxicating compound found in cannabis that may help consumers fight anxiety, pain and insomnia.

Hemp became legal in the U.S. in December 2018 when President Trump signed the farm bill into law. However, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) must still approve any CBD-infused foods or products that include CBD and claim to have many therapeutic benefits. Hemp was legalized in Texas this year following the plant’s legalization at the federal level.

“Every year we try and bring new innovative and trend-setting elements into our competition structure,” said Mike McCloud, president and CEO of WFC. “Cooking with CBD will be a new and interesting challenge for our Food Champs to master. When incorporating CBD into a dish, you have to take into consideration cooking temperature and other factors when working it into your recipe. For this reason, we knew Kind Spice would be the perfect partner to help educate our cooks on the CBD-cooking process, as well as provide a superb pre-mixed product to help make the process easier than working with CBD oil.”
