Seven Ways to Get Into WFC for Free!
The largest culinary competition in the world, the World Food Championships (WFC), is just around the corner! This year's Main Event has a few different avenues for Food Sport fans to sink their teeth into for FREE this October at Reunion Tower Lawn!
This year’s WFC is on track to be the largest food fight to date, with over 1,500 cooks traveling from around the globe to battle it out for ten category titles and a shot at the event’s $350,000 prize purse. But better still, the WFC is a foodie’s dream come to true. In addition to catching all of the action happening in Kitchen Arena, WFC offers an array of special experiences, such as tastings in the Walmart Tasting Pavilion, free food demos on the Main Stage featuring Maximus (as seen on Gordon Ramsay’s “To Hell and Back”), and World Food Games–– which are all included with a General Admission ticket.
While WFC’s ticket pricing ($20 per adult at the gate) is easy to swallow, here are some special ways that motivated foodies can score a FREE entry into the Ultimate Food Fight, which runs for five full days in October:
-
First Responders: To kick off the first day of competition, WFC is offering FREE General Admission to First Responders (ID required) on Wednesday, October 16.
-
Military Families/Veterans: On October 17, WFC is offering FREE General Admission for Military Families/Veterans (ID required).
-
Seniors (65+): To close out the week, WFC is offering FREE General Admission on Sunday, October 20 for seniors 65 years and older (ID required).
-
WFC Competitors: All WFC competitors will receive FREE General Admission passes to enjoy the Main Event’s food festivities when they are not competing in Kitchen Arena. In addition, each competitor will receive four passes with the ability to purchase additional tickets at a discounted price on-site.
-
Kids: WFC wants the whole family to take part in all of the food fun, so children age 12 and under get in FREE!
-
E.A.T.™ Certified Judges: All E.A.T.™ Certified Judges will receive FREE General Admission into WFC’s Main Event. Make sure you bring your judge’s Gold Card as you’ll need it upon entry (or be able to provide your E.A.T.™ Judge ID number).
-
Bacon Lovers: Anyone who brings a receipt that shows proof of purchase of a Wright Brand Bacon package from any local retailer, purchased in October, will receive a FREE one day General Admission ticket to WFC. (Don’t forget your receipt!)
Don’t meet any of the requirements above? No worries, you can take a bite out of this special discount.
-
$5.00 off General Admission: On Friday, October 18, bring a canned food item to donate to the North Texas Food Bank and receive $5.00 off your General Admission ticket.
