Mission Zero Hundred Hours & World Food Championships Announce the Battle of the Branches: WFC Edition

Indianapolis, IN – (September 9, 2024) Mission Zero Hundred Hours (MZHH), a 501(c)(3) charity focused on Veteran suicide prevention and awareness through competitive culinary arts and World Food Championships (WFC), the world’s largest Food Sport competition spotlighting everyday cooking categories, announced a strategic alignment to host The Battle of the Branches. This special event is scheduled to take place on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center in Indianapolis.

The “Battle of the Branches: WFC Edition” is a culinary competition unlike any other. Military branch teams, consisting of Veterans or service members, are led by experienced coaches through preliminary rounds, and a final round to determine the best culinary branch of service. The branch teams will square off in the preliminary round with the Taco Battle. The branch team with the highest score will represent their branch, against all other branches, in the finals with the MRE Challenge. The winning branch will have a year of bragging rights as the best branch of service and their share of a $5,000 prize purse.

The Veterans we serve are in for an amazing experience, and hopefully get some much-needed culinary arts therapy while reconnecting with a mission and purpose.”

Since its debut in 2012, WFC has garnered a global following, providing unique culinary experiences at live events and through numerous television appearances. The WFC platform has revolutionized competitive cooking, known as “Food Sport,” by offering a level playing field, a fair judging system, and innovative culinary programming. Over the years, WFC has facilitated the creation of more than 10,000 new dishes and has partnered with local non-profits, charities, and food banks across the U.S. The 2024 World Food Championships will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, from November 8-12, and feature more than 300 teams from across the globe competing in twelve (12) categories.
