WFC Announces Limited WildCard Entries

Many of you have asked for it, and now you've got it. The WFC announced today that it will host a WildCard entry process into this year's competition like it did last year. With a $300,000 prize purse up for grabs, the stakes are high. So be prepared to convince our committee why your team is capable of taking on the best of the best in this Championship throw down like no other. The WildCard period will open on Monday, Sept 23 and end at 5pm PST on Friday, Oct. 4. Teams that qualify into the WFC through this process will be announced on Monday, Oct 7, exactly one month before the Food Fight gets under way in Downtown Las Vegas! There are limited categories available and just a few positions up for grabs. Stay tuned for more details on how to take advantage of this special invitation process.

Here's how it will work:

When registering you'll be able to make your best argument to be included in the World Food Championships by sharing your culinary resume and noting awards and/or championships.Once you have completed registration and payment you will be entered into the Wild Card pool.

The WildCard period will open on Monday, Sept 23 and end at 5 PM PST, on Friday, Oct. 4. Teams that qualify into the WFC through this process will be notified on Monday, Oct. 7.

Remember: your registration does NOT guarantee you a spot in the World Food Championships. If you are not chosen from the Wild Card Draw, you will receive a full refund (minus a $5 credit card/handling fee). There are only a limited number of spots, so make sure you make it count. This could be your chance at food fame and fortune!
