Lights…Camera...Take Two! WFC To Be Featured Again As Cable Television Series

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Oct. 14) – The World Food Championships is excited to announce that for the second time in its four-year history, the competition is being filmed for a multi-part, reality-based TV show for a major cable network.

The show, which will bypass typical casting and involve unscripted programming, will be shot Nov. 4-10 in Kissimmee and Celebration by Big Time Entertainment. The event will be covered from registration to the Final Table, with every WFC category being filmed in the process.

“We are very excited about BTE’s concept for capturing the energy and essence of Food Sport as it unfolds in real time at the WFC,” said President/CEO Mike McCloud. “I can’t wait to see the many wonderful stories and colorful personalities they will uncover in the process.”

As was required in 2013 for the TV debut of WFC on the A&E Network, both competitors and judges alike will have to sign waivers for filming at the championships.

While the official name of this second series and the specific network can not be released until next month, the airing of the program has already been slated for June and July of 2016. So stay tuned for more details!

With $350,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs, and a shot at TV fame, it’s definitely time for competitors to rise and shine like never before! See you soon in the Sunshine State!
