Orlando-Area Muscians Energize 2015 World Food Championships

KISSIMMEE, Fla.. (October 14, 2015) -- WORLD FOOD CHAMPIONSHIPS, the global leader in Food Sport competitions, announces its lineup of musical acts to cap off each day’s activities at the event’s nightly awards presentations.

The 2015 WORLD FOOD CHAMPIONSHIPS, running November 3-10, will feature five days of active competition -- four days of preliminary and final rounds to determine champions in Dessert, Recipe, Seafood, Bacon, Barbecue, Chili, Pasta, Sandwich, Burger and Chef’s Challenge categories, who will then go on to compete in the epic Final Table event Tuesday, Nov. 10.

Each night’s awards ceremonies – Thurs.-Sun., Nov. 5-8, and at the Grand Tasting event Nov. 10 – will feature bands from around the Central Florida area, bringing to a close each day’s public activities with energy and style.

“World Food Championships is a week-long party to go along with the serious competitions happening in Kenmore Kitchen Arena,” said Mike McCloud, CEO of World Food Championships. “Great music goes hand-in-hand with great food; there’s no better way to finish each day at WFC than with these talented bands.”

Bands scheduled to take the main stage at World Food Championships:
Thursday, Nov. 5: Rock City
Get ready to take a voyage across the length and breadth of rock music over the past four decades, as Rock City boasts a repertoire that reaches from America to ZZ Top. This five-man combo features veteran local musicians versed in both bringing you the classics and making the experience nothing but fun.

Friday, Nov. 6: ThunderJack
For those about to cook, we salute you! Central Florida’s premier AC/DC cover band, ThunderJack started its journey channeling Australia’s loudest export in 2012, and have built up a cadre of dedicated fans. ThunderJack brings the sights, the sounds and yes, the shorts you’d expect with a band taking you on the highway to...well, you know.

Saturday, Nov. 7: Thoze Guyz
This acoustic outfit has been making waves with their “Brunch With The Beatles” series in Orlando, so you have to assume you’ll feel a little Fab Saturday night, but that’s just part of their catalog of smooth classic rock favorites.

Sunday, Nov. 8: Shotgun Whiskey Band
This four-man band might be new to the Orlando scene, but its members have roots that run deep into the local music landscape. Mixing the best of the legends of outlaw country with the hitmakers of today, marrying Southern and classic rock tunes, music lovers of all generations will find something to enjoy with Shotgun Whiskey Band.
