Texas Chefs Earn Their Way To Ultimate Food Fight Through Port Aransas

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and Food Sport is no exception. The Lonestar state recently tested and qualified its 2018 all-star chef team at the Texas Super Chef Throwdown Series in Port Aransas. The 15-member “Team Texas” will now travel to Orange Beach, Alabama to compete at the largest Food Sport event in the world, the World Food Championships (WFC).

Bacon, Burgers... and Kangaroo? WFC adds Exotic Cuisine to its 2018 Demos

The 7th Annual World Food Championships (WFC), presented by Walmart, is pulling everything out of its pouches for its 2018 main event in November. In a few short months, over 1,500 chefs and home cooks from 41 states and 14 countries will meet at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama to battle it out for more than $350,000 in cash and prizes.

Former NFL Champion Steps Into Food Sport in a “Souper” Way

The World Food Championships (WFC) announced today that former New England Patriot Defensive End Jarvis Green and his company, Oceans 97, has signed on as an Official Food Sport partner for the 2018 competition in Orange Beach, Alabama. As a part of the new partnership, Oceans 97 will be joining Natural Tableware to co-sponsor WFC’s first Soup-or-Bowl Sunday event, which will be held on November 11 during the five-day food tournament. In addition to providing Soup-or-Bowl competitors with Oceans 97 shrimp to use in their dishes. Green will also help to determine this year’s World Seafood Champion as a Top Ten judge.

Competitors Will Be “Happy” About WFC’s New Food Sport Partner

The World Food Championships (WFC) announced today that Happy Chef has signed on as an Official Partner to help enhance the Food Sport experience for competitors at the 2018 competition in Orange Beach, Alabama. Thanks to the new partner, Food Champs will now get to relax in the Happy Chef Competitor Zone, a special competitor-only area where each flight of cooks will get to hang out right before entering Kitchen Area, where they will battle it out for over $350,000 in cash and prize.
